The Folly

The client is a passionate collector of art and sculpture and envisaged a sculptural tower on their site. The design of the 'folly' was to be a tall landmark structure on a property which can be experienced from afar as well as up close. A lower level space allows people to enjoy the landscape around, with the folly being accessed vertically to see the view from various heights. The design process involved various iterations using model making to generate a sculptural and simple form that would be distinctive as you approach the structure.
